Community Foundation Adds Two New Board Members
The Shasta Regional Community Foundation has added two new members to the Board of Directors.

Bill Kohn was born in Siskiyou County and graduated from Enterprise High School in 1967. He left the area for college and to start a career but returned in 1979 to start Frozen Gourmet, Inc., a wholesale ice cream and frozen food distribution company that continues to serve Northern California and Southern Oregon. Bill is married to Daphne and is the proud father of three Shasta High School graduates.

In 2004, the Kohn family began awarding a $2,000 scholarship to a Shasta High athlete through a scholarship fund at the Community Foundation. In so doing Bill became engaged with the Community Foundation and the work of the organization throughout Shasta and Siskiyou counties.

Joseph Tallerico also hails from Siskiyou County. He has worked as a financial advisor in Redding since 1971 and has been with Morgan Stanley since 1979. Today Joseph is the Senior Vice President of Investments and Senior Consultant for Morgan Stanley. Joseph is married to Pat and has two daughters.

Joseph has been involved in many community activities over the years including the Mercy Foundation board, past president of the Redding Rotary Club, past president of Riverview County Club and a member of the Redding Planning Commission.

"Both Bill and Joseph are terrific additions to the Community Foundation board because of their commitment to the community and their years of experience in their field. We look forward to the wisdom they will add to our board as we head into our ninth year of serving Shasta and Siskiyou counties," said Terry Starr, Chair of the Board.
