Mobilizing the Power of Women Through Philanthropy

The Women's Fund of the Shasta Regional Community Foundation began in February 2008 with a founding cabinet of 10 women, representing diverse backgrounds, ages, and perspectives, all from the greater Redding region. The Women's Fund is part of a global movement dedicated to collective philanthropy.

The Women's Fund Grant Program

The Women’s Fund of the Shasta Regional Community Foundation has announced "Gaining Skills for Economic Self-Sufficiency," as the focus area for its $15,000 Grant Program for 2010.

Grant applicants must address the focus area, which can include programs providing education in financial literacy, employment training or specific skills that can lead women to economic self-sufficiency.

Women's Fund members voted in April to determine the area of interest for this year's grant proposals. The deadline for submission of grant applications was June 16, 2010, and grants will be awarded by the end of August.

For information on the grant program please review the application and call 244-1219 with questions.
