SRCF 2013 Scholarships AnnouncedJan 18, 2013 The Shasta Regional Community Foundation is pleased to offer twenty scholarships to students in north state counties for a total of $43,000. · Bill Cosby/Sunrise Rotary Scholarship: Deadline, Jan 31, 2013. Two, $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors from Central Valley High School who will be attending an academic or vocational/technical accredited school. · Donna Borlaug Citizenship Fund: Deadline March 18, 2013. One, $500 scholarship awarded to a graduate of Shasta High School and Grant School who has community and school volunteer experience. · FWF’62 Scholarship: Deadline, March 18, 2013. One, $500 scholarship awarded to a female student at Shasta High School who will be attending a trade school or a two or four-year college.
· Andy Allison Scholarship: Deadline March 29, 2013. Two, $1,000 scholarships awarded to a male and female student at Enterprise High School who participated in high school sports and plan to attend Shasta College.
· California Retired Teachers Association, Mt Shasta Division #16: Deadline March 29, 2013. One $500 scholarship awarded to a graduating Shasta College student transferring to a 4-year college or university with the goal of becoming a teacher. · Kohn Family Scholarship: Deadline, March 29, 2013. One, $2,500 scholarship, renewable for up to a total of 4 years for a total of $10,000, awarded to a graduating senior from Shasta High School that participated in high school athletics.
· Matt Solus Memorial Scholarship: Deadline March 29, 2013 One, $1000 Scholarship awarded to a Siskiyou County high school senior or junior college student interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement or fire science. · Shasta Natural Science Scholarship: Deadline, March 29, 2013. One, $500 scholarship awarded to a Shasta County High School female senior or a female student transferring from Shasta College who will be attending an accredited 4 year college or university. · William Garcia Scholarship: Deadline March 29, 2013. One, $1,000 scholarship awarded to a graduating senior from Shasta County that participated in high school tennis. · Women in Medicine Scholarship: Deadline, March 29, 2013. Eight, $3,000 scholarships awarded to female Shasta County graduating seniors and female students enrolled in a four-year university who graduated from a Shasta County High School. They must be planning a career in: Pediatrics, Family Medicine, Dentistry, Family Nursing or Physicians Assisting.
· Ken Putnam Choral Music Scholarship: Deadline April 12, 2013 One, $500 scholarship awarded to a graduating senior from Shasta High School who has participated in the high school choral music program for two or more years. The student must be attending a two or four year accredited college or university in the fall of 2013. |
