What We Do

The Community Foundation builds trust through relationship, integrity, and by providing safe places for donors to give their resources.

We are a nonprofit, public charity serving the people of Shasta, Siskiyou and Tehama counties, with a mission to impact the region through the power of giving. Since 2000, the Community Foundation has awarded over $47 million in grants, made possible by the generosity of their fund holders and professional fund management practices.

Our Mission

To connect philanthropic people with causes that matter.

Our Vision

Our Values

Leadership – We take initiative and support programs that help the greater good. We leverage investments and relationships to make a larger collective impact in our region.

Local – We focus on our north state region (Shasta, Siskiyou, and Tehama counties) and are knowledgeable about and support local communities with our business, investments, donors and non-profit relationships.

Stewardship – We are future-focused fiduciaries of the assets under our care and intend to leave a lasting legacy for future generations through responsible and thoughtful management.

Ethical – We are committed to transparency, honesty, and integrity and in accordance with best practices and national standards.

Service – We are here to serve and help the well-being of others and are particularly focused on equitable opportunities for the vulnerable and under-resourced communities.

Learning – We both take advantage of opportunities for learning as well as supporting educational opportunities for our communities.
