THANKS A MILLION! NORTH STATE GIVING TUESDAY

North State Giving Tuesday

{tag_name_nolink}

Black Friday. Cyber Monday. Giving Tuesday.

Each year at Thanksgiving and the week following, we have a day for giving thanks, two days for getting deals, and a nationally recognized day for giving back – Giving Tuesday – join in the excitement of this one day only online giving event in the North State!

We invited you to “give where you live” at northstategives.org on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 between 6 AM and 8 PM Pacific Time for the benefit of our local nonprofits that do such important work in Shasta, Siskiyou, and this year, Tehama County. Your generous response registered 6,462 gifts, a record number for the event, raising $872,884 for the 178 participating nonprofits with over $44,000 for Carr and Camp Fire immediate relief efforts.

The Knodel Family Endowment Fund of Shasta Regional Community Foundation and business sponsors offered $63,530 in prizes and incentives to boost the participants' success and make the event exciting and fun. With a significant increase in social media engagement this year, you can review some of the excitement with #NorthStateGivingTuesday.

Although the opportunity to donate on the website has passed, you can learn more about the participants and contact them directly through profile links at www.northstategives.org.

Outreach and business partners in the region’s communities have been incredibly generous in their support of the North State Giving Tuesday event as active ambassadors getting the word out and encouraging others to do their year-end giving online in an effort to strengthen our nonprofit sector. Please become one of them!

Save the date for next year's excitement - Tuesday after Thanksgiving, December 2, 2019.
