Local Business supports Community Disaster Relief Fund
Cross Petroleum and Mountain Counties Supply Company, a family owned Siskiyou County business is proud to report that through donations from their customers, they have contributed $11,537 to the Community Disaster Relief Fund. “We chose to partner with the Shasta Regional Community Foundation because 100% of the funds will be distributed towards relief and recovery efforts for the Boles Fire,” said Jimm Cross, Vice-President of Cross Petroleum.
2014 marks Cross Petroleum’s 53rd year of doing business in Siskiyou County, providing resources of support for their friends and neighbors while fostering community stewardship and care for their natural surroundings. Mountain Counties Supply Company is the retail arm of the business, operating 12 locations between Corning, Ca. and Fort Jones, Ca.
In addition to raising funds through their retail customers, Cross Petroleum and Mountain Counties Supply Company secured a $5,000 donation from Chevron. “Cross Petroleum has a long history of stewardship and philanthropy in Siskiyou County, we are honored that they entrusted the Community Foundation with these contributions,” said Kerry Caranci, CEO Shasta Regional Community Foundation.
